The Sunday before last dad photographed the wedding of Kara and Pete at the Peninsula Inn and Spa.  Their wedding was filled with family and history and traditions which made it very special.  The couple had a Jewish wedding with all of the traditional elements.  The morning of the wedding, Kara was given The Bride’s Bible which was first started in her family in 1946 and has been passed down on wedding days to many brides since then.  Kara and Pete also paid tribute to their family history by having reception table markers which were framed wedding pictures from past family weddings.

Kara wore a unique above knee gown from Ambria’s Gallery of Wearable Art.  The lace detailing on the hem and detailing over the gown was breath taking!  The flowers were both DIY and from Flowerama and helped contribute to the romantic look of the wedding.  Kara wore a lace trimmed veil until the reception where she changed to a flower hair accessory which mom loved.  The wedding cake at the reception was a french tradition.  A croquembouche is a cone of cream puffs surrounded by a wedding of spun caramelized sugar.  Yummy!

It was fun for dad to run into one of his past couples at the wedding too!  It is always great to catch up and be reminded about how the wedding days that dad gets to take part in are really the start to a new life for the couple.  We wish Kara and Pete all the best in that new life together as a married couple.  With how in love they are, we know it is going to be wonderful for them!
