Jason met up with one of our favorite families for a mini session at the beach. Carly and Will are amazing people! We have loved being a part of their lives since Jason photographed their wedding. We’ve seen their little girl grow from the time she was just born through her first year. Carly and Will wanted a few updated pictures of her before her 2 year session this winter. She wasn’t loving the beach so much that day but she was still adorable!
The picture of Carly “cleaning” her daughter made me smile. THAT is motherhood! And though the picture of Will with his little girl might not be your traditional father/daughter portrait Jason and I both loved it. It reminds us of a picture we would have of our own family! Carly is standing off to the side and though Will is doing his best to have fun with his daughter she is a bit grumpy so all she wants is her mommy 🙂 .

Oh my gosh- I am cracking up laughing at these! The one of her crying with her face in her hands is so funny! Love toddler drama 🙂 And the one of me “cleaning” is hilarious. And, amazingly, Jason managed to get some really sweet pictures of her, despite the grumpy mood. I absolutely LOVE these and love how it captures real life with a toddler- as I’m sure you know, they don’t just smile act like angels all the time 🙂
