Shelley and Matt had a beautiful beach wedding at the Grand Plaza Resort.  The wedding had a beach theme with blue as the main color, starfish and shells in the decor, and tables named after various fish and sea creatures.  Shelley’s garter had a starfish on it and the couple even had a shark stuffed animal as their wedding mascot.  Guests dropped wedding wishes for the couple into a treasure box painted to look like the beach.  Marsha Marie Floral did an amazing job with bright, tropical floral arrangements!  Shelley carried a cascading bouquet with yellow and deep pink flowers.

At the ceremony, the officiant was Chaplain Mike Hargrave.  Shelley and Matt included a rope tying during the ceremony so that they could literally tie the knot!  DJ Yahoo was the DJ at the reception which began with an awesome first dance.  After parent dances and toasts, the newlyweds stepped outside for pictures at sunset before joining their guests again for the party.  Guests had fun drinking from a champagne bottle with a Go Pro attached!  The wedding cake was made by Cakes by Carolynn and a close friend made the spearfishing cake.  Shelley and Matt got each other good with the cake before ending the night with a bubble departure.

The day did not go without its share of adventures!  Jason and Marsha got stuck in an elevator on their way to meet Shelley that morning, and then during the reception everyone had to evacuate when the smoke machines from the wedding upstairs set off the fire alarms!  Shelley and Matt enjoyed every part of their day and it was wonderful to see them so happy and so in love.  Congratulations newlyweds!
