Last year the big date for weddings was 7-7-7 so of course this year the memorable date was 8-8-8. Dad spent the day with Liz and George for their wedding at the Sandpearl. He had met the couple when he photographed their engagement session in Pennsylvania and they were so nice! It was wonderful to be there as they began their married life together.
They say invitations set the tone for the entire wedding and Liz and George’s guests received their invitations as a message in a bottle complete with sand and shells inside and decorated with a starfish outside. The wedding had a beach theme with pink and green colors and starfish every where! Mom liked the starfish in the bouquets and boutonnieres and the giant shell instead of a pillow for the rings.
Holly, the coordinator at the Sandpearl, was wonderful again. Rob Sword was the officiant and DJ for the event and did a terrific job as always. It was a great wedding and we are all so happy for Liz and George!
Mom and Liz had become email buddies as Liz planned her wedding from New Jersey so mom was excited to go through Liz’s pictures when dad got home from the wedding. One of the first things she looked for was the ceremony set up. Liz had quite a search for an affordable canopy but it looks like everything worked out well.
As dad, Liz, and George were taking pictures on the beach they heard cheering. They turned and saw a couple who had just got engaged under their canopy! Dad didn’t want to interrupt their moment so he didn’t let them know he had pictures, but how cool would it be if that couple ends up coming across our blog during their wedding planning and sees their proposal! If anyone knows them, tell them that dad has some pictures for them!
Congratulations Liz and George! Hope you made it home okay even with all the airport and flight issues!
The day after Liz and George were married, dad photographed Kira and Peter’s wedding at the Don Vicente. Stay tuned for pictures!
looks great!! 🙂 can’t wait to see the rest!!
I love that the dad got pictures of the other couple getting engaged! What a great moment to have captured on film!
